Jacob’s Beach + Woodsy Senior Portraits

Amie reached out to me to photograph her son, Jacob, for his senior portraits—thanks to a kind referral from a friend (always the best compliment!). During our planning, Jacob said he wanted a mix of beach and woodsy vibes, which I was excited to bring to life.

My senior portrait package includes two locations, so we mapped out the perfect session together. We started the shoot at one of my all-time favorite beaches for photos—Torrey Pines State Beach. With its dramatic cliffs and golden light, it always delivers. From there, we made our way to Eucalyptus Grove on the UCSD campus. It’s a quiet little pocket of trees that gives off a totally different, earthy atmosphere—perfect contrast to the beach!

The photos turned out awesome (if I do say so myself), and I made sure everything was edited and delivered right on time so Amie could have prints made. She told me they loved the final gallery, which is always the best part of what I do.
